Privacy Policy

Pair Point does not have accounts. The names and birthdays you type are used to produce your result and are not saved afterwards, with one exception: if you tap share, that result is saved so the link you send actually opens it. We collect basic, anonymous usage stats by default to see how the app is used, and you can turn this off at any time below. It never receives names or birthdays. Screen recordings are a separate, stricter setting, off unless you switch it on.

Names and birthdays you enter. Used to work out the zodiac signs and produce your compatibility result. To write the result text, they are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI). We do not save them to any database, and they disappear from your browser when you close or refresh the page.

Results you choose to share. If you tap the share button, that result is saved so the link you send opens the real thing instead of an empty page. What is saved is the two first names, the zodiac signs and the result text. Nothing is saved unless you tap share, and birthdays are never saved. Shared results are deleted after 90 days, and you can ask us to delete one sooner.

Basic usage analytics (on by default, you can turn it off). We record which screens you reach and which buttons you use, for example that a match was started, completed, or shared. These events include the zodiac signs involved and a rough score band, never names or birthdays. Your IP address is processed by our analytics provider as part of this. You can turn this off at any time in the control below, and it stops immediately.

Session replay (off unless you turn it on). Unlike basic analytics, this is off by default. If you switch it on, a small sample of your sessions may be recorded as an anonymised playback so we can see where the form is confusing. All typed input and all on-screen text is masked before it leaves your device, so the recording shows taps, scrolling and layout, never your details.

IP address, for abuse protection. We briefly count requests per IP address to stop automated abuse of our AI usage. This count is kept for about an hour and then expires. It is not used to identify you or linked to your result.

To give you the result you asked for. Processing the names and birthdays you enter is necessary to deliver the thing you actively requested.

Our legitimate interest. Basic usage analytics helps us understand and fix the app, using the minimum data needed (no names, no birthdays, no cross-site tracking, no advertising use), and you can object at any time by turning it off below. Short-lived IP counting for abuse protection rests on the same basis, which keeps the service free to use.

Your consent. Session replay is more sensitive, so it runs only if you actively turn it on below, and you can turn it off again at any time.

OpenAI (United States). Generates the wording of your result. It receives the names, birthdays and signs for that request.

PostHog (European Union). Our analytics provider. Hosted in the EU region. You can turn off basic analytics, or turn on session replay, in the control below.

Netlify. Hosts the site and serves it through a global network, which involves standard server logs.

Because these providers operate outside Nigeria, using Pair Point involves transferring data abroad. We keep this to the minimum needed to run the service.

Under the NDPA you may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, and withdraw consent at any time. We do not operate accounts, so usually the only thing we hold is a result you chose to share. Send us the link and we will delete it.

Email privacy@pairpoint.live and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Pair Point is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly process their data. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.
